This station has no parking, making it better for commuters arriving on foot or by bus rather than car. The escalators are the second longest in the system after Wheaton. It takes about 2 minutes and 30 seconds to reach the top.

This is a conveniently placed Metro station, and would be reviewed a lot higher were it not for the decrepit elevator, which can only be described as a moving coffin.

Love it. 2nd longest escalator in the Western Hemisphere (longest is at Wheaton Station, coincidentally) keeps it interesting.

Continuing south in rock tunnel, the Red Line reaches the heart of Downtown Bethesda at the Bethesda Station. At around 145 feet deep, this station is one of the deepest on the system. It is located deep below Wisconsin Avenue.

The station has the standard 4 coffer vault and island platform.

Bethesda opened in July of 1984 as part of the Grosvenor Extension.

Beautiful station clean located in a very safe area

So what is not clear to me. If I were to pick someone up at Bethesda Station where do I pick them up. Is there a place to pull over for pickup on Wisconsin Avenue?
